Stephene is a Licensed Professional Counselor who practices integrative psychotherapy. She has been counseling for more than 20 years, serving a diverse population both in age and in ethnicity.

Her broad range of experience includes helping people in the midst of: anxiety, depression, grief, trauma recovery, life transitions, and relationship struggles. See here for further areas of emphasis.

She has given herself to walking with those who are underserved and vulnerable. Her background includes homeless outreach, mentoring at-risk youth, and serving the refugee community.

Stephene lives in South St. Louis City with her husband. They have two children at home and one who has launched into adult life. The VandenBrinks are a multi-racial family through adoption. She enjoys all things outdoors including running, hiking, kayaking, camping, and gardening. As an introvert, she also loves time alone to ponder life, read, and do yoga.

Stephene holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Seminary.
